Happy spring everyone!

With spring in the air and the snow finally melted away, we feel eager to begin the new gardening season. Our staff have been busy with spring clean ups, cutting new edges in the gardens and removing any dead wood from shrubs. As it starts to get warmer, the layer of mulch covering delicate plants can be removed, and this compost and mulch can be spread throughout the gardens to add organic material and good looks too.

Don't forget the lawn. After being buried with snow for the last few months, your grass needs attention too. A good stiff lawn rake will help remove the old dead thatch and help bring life back to the turf quicker. If your lawn is heavy with thatch, you may need a mechanical way of removing it. Give us a call; we would be happy to help.

THINGS TO DO:

Lawns: Lime or moss control, aerate, de- thatch, fertilize, top dress and seed if required

Gardens: Cut new edges, add new mulch or turn over soil, spread compost, remove dead plant material.

Trees and shrubs: Remove any dead wood look for insects and fungi.

See you soon,

Bruce
